Tribe...

In the spirit of the "Beats, Rhymes & Life" doc that's coming out I have these rare Tribe demos.

This is the original demo that Tribe did. Some of the tracks are what were featured on their debut LP and some are unreleased gems.

The demo version of one of the greatest possie cuts ever.  This version features Pos from De La and Mr. Lawnge from Black Sheep.  Classic!!!

Best Wack Movie in a Minute. (The Room)

The infamous "The Room" billboard in LA.
It's been a while since I've done a post about bad movies and this is a special edition.

I first heard about "The Room" when reading an article about the movie in "Entertainment Weekly."  In it they were talking about how it's become the new "so bad it's good" film and a Hollywood insider joke.  After reading about it and hearing it supposedly referenced in television and film I had to watch it.  If I was in LA, I would have simply gone down and watched it, but alas I had to wait for it to hit DVD.  Fast forward to the other day when I was able to get this movie on Netflix.

This... movie... was... EPIC!!!  I honestly haven't seen a movie SO bad, but SO awesome in a long time.  Where do I start?  This film fails on every level... writing, acting, directing, score/music etc.  (almost all done by Tommy Wiseau.)

For instance, I give you the flower shop scene.  (staring Tommy Wiseau)

The movie in a nutshell is about Johnny, a banker who takes care of his friends.  His girlfriend is cheating on him with his best friend.  Sounds simple enough that a soap opera could make a decent story arch out of.  Well... not here and mixed in with that simple plot are little scenes that make no sense at all and do nothing to help push the story along.

For instance, I give you all of the football scenes in the movie.

Honestly this isn't one of those movies where you're 30 minutes or halfway through the film and you think that it THEN goes downhill, it is one of those movies that goes downhill at the opening scene.

It is a beautiful crash and burn that I honestly would LOVE to see in a theater with a "Rocky Horror" type crowd, throwing footballs, wearing wigs and watching Tommy Wiseau cock his head back and laugh after he says EVERY line.

This is a BAD film, but it is a GREAT bad film.

Dawhud Acapellas Coming Soon

Ditty says, "SWAG!!!"
While getting stuff together for my upcoming show I started wondering if cats would possibly want acapella versions of some of my tracks.  I'm working on putting some folders together and will post them up shortly.

Hopefully there will be a "Dawhud Remix - The Remix Sessions" comp in the works with all of these files.

Do as Ditty says, "SWAG!"

Once Again... Mr. Kinetik & Rusty Redenbacher - "Over"

Once again, Mr. Kinetik and Rusty have blessed us with another dose from "The Professor & The Hustler" project.  This was a quick vid they did in their hotel as they were waiting to do their gig that night.  The last video they did for "Cassin' In" was a nice dose of Naptown hip hop.

I can't push this project enough.  Check it out and follow the Tornado Alley/ATFU on their Tumbler page.

July 27th, mark your calendars!!!

It is going down at The High Dive in Seattle/Fremont on July 27th.  I will be doing a pseudo homecoming set featuring tracks from "Basement Sessions," "Dub Styles" & possibly the other projects I'm working on.

This will be one to NOT miss.  Just Be will be coming out of retirement for this special show to rock a jammie or two.
